About Literacy Without Limits

I truly love helping children grow into confident readers. There's nothing more rewarding to me than seeing the moment a child's eyes light up when a word finally clicks or when they read a full sentence on their own. Watching their confidence build, step by step, as their reading and spelling skills improve is why I do what I do. I believe every child has the ability to succeed, and I’m here to support and encourage them every step of the way.

Meet John Vaccaro

I’ve always had a passion for teaching and helping others overcome challenges. During my years as a Children’s Pastor and staff pastor, I was honored to support both children and adults on their spiritual journeys through teaching, counseling, and preaching. When I learned about the opportunity to help individuals overcome dyslexia, I immediately knew it was a calling I couldn’t ignore.

Today, I am dedicated to helping children, teens, and adults transform their lives by learning to read, spell, and write using the proven Barton Reading and Spelling System. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness the confidence and growth that comes from unlocking the power of literacy.

Outside of my work, I’m blessed to share life with my amazing wife, Cynthia, our three children, and three wonderful grandchildren.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get to know the heart behind the tutoring—who I am, why I teach, and how I support each child’s unique journey.

Question 1: How did you get started in tutoring students with dyslexia?

A teacher friend of mine was telling me that she was thinking about tutoring students with dyslexia using the Barton Reading and Spelling System.  It was perfect timing because I was looking for an opportunity to help people overcome obstacles in their lives and this seemed like a perfect fit.  After researching dyslexia and the Barton Reading and Spelling System, I knew deep down that this was what I should be doing with my life.

Question 2: Tell me a little about your family.

In 1992, my wife Cynthia and I were married.  I became an instant father because Cynthia had two daughters, Shayla and Claire, from a previous marriage.  They are like my very own daughters.  Together we had our son, Brandon.  They are all married now and we have three grandchildren between them with, hopefully, more on the way.

Question 3: Have you always been a pastor?

No, I have not.  I have also held jobs in project management and business development for both corporate and smaller companies.  Pastoring was most enjoyable to me because I was able to help people live toward their goal of living their lives well.
